Are Virtual Sessions as effective as in person sessions?
With COVID, many therapists began using telehealth services, but even before that rural areas, scheduling concerns, and many other reasons led clients to seek therapy sessions virtually. There are a number of benefits, including not having to think about commute time, parking, but also being able to talk to your therapist in the comfort of your own home. Research has shown that virtual sessions are just as effective as in person sessions- but it's all up to what you are more comfortable with! How long does each therapy session take?
Therapy sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes. Some EMDR sessions may be scheduled for longer amounts of time- this will be communicated to you in advance.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Yes! I do not want cost to be a barrier to you receiving treatment. I do not accept insurance, but will work with you to get you the help that you need. I can also provide a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company.
